As out-of-state immigrants to the area, we appreciated at the beginning your low-keyed, friendly, and helpful interactions with us over the Internet as we took a long time to get familiar with the area.  When we finally arrived ready to actually visit homes, we then could appreciate your knowledge of the area market; your gracious tolerance in showing us places that you suspected were not appropriate but that would nevertheless give us our own better understanding of the market; and your willingness to accommodate our schedule, sometimes on very short notice.

Negotiating for the purchase of the house we finally selected was easy, but only thanks to your good judgment.  As it turned out, completing the sale, which frequently can be a dismal undertaking, was even easier, since you absorbed most of the work (dealing with the inspection activities and closing activities) while we sat at home 1500 miles away, and you detected (and arranged for fixes of) some of the inevitable paperwork errors that could have caused us problems in the long run. 

Finally, your volunteering to alleviate our concerns by making house calls to check its ongoing condition during the first couple of months that we could not be there was way beyond anything approaching the call of duty and stands out as characteristic of your attitude during the whole process.

In short, we hope you realize how grateful we are to you for all your help and your ability to maintain good humor throughout the process.  Buying a house does not have to be a pleasant process, so we recognize how lucky we were to have such able and friendly help."
